# WhiteBoard by LiveBoard vs Write & Record

The clearest difference is rating: WhiteBoard by LiveBoard at 4.2 against Write & Record's 3.0. WhiteBoard by LiveBoard also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (346 vs 2). Write & Record's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 48%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WhiteBoard by LiveBoard sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Write & Record sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WhiteBoard by LiveBoard holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WhiteBoard by LiveBoard has 346 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of WhiteBoard by LiveBoard's written reviews are positive against 67% of Write & Record's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WhiteBoard by LiveBoard ships an update every 9 days, Write & Record every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
