# END. vs Wax Merchant

The clearest difference is ratings volume: END. at 25K against Wax Merchant's 12. END. also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). Wax Merchant's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for END. against 5.0 for Wax Merchant. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: END. has 25K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

END. ships an update every 9 days, Wax Merchant every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
