# Date & Time Widget vs Huge Digital Clock

The clearest difference is rating: Huge Digital Clock at 4.1 against Date & Time Widget's 3.5. Huge Digital Clock also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 7 months). Date & Time Widget's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Date & Time Widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Huge Digital Clock sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Huge Digital Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 103 and 79 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Date & Time Widget's written reviews are positive against 56% of Huge Digital Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Date & Time Widget ships an update every 7 months, Huge Digital Clock every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
