# Randomize List vs Moxy Messenger

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Randomize List at none against Moxy Messenger's 6. Randomize List also leads on review sentiment (57% vs 40%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Moxy Messenger's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 22). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moxy Messenger sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Randomize List asks for nothing beyond the download.

Moxy Messenger holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moxy Messenger has 1.3K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Randomize List's written reviews are positive against 40% of Moxy Messenger's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Randomize List ships an update every 4 months, Moxy Messenger every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
