# Video Compressor Gold vs Panostory Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Video Compressor Gold at 4.6 against Panostory Pro's 4.1. Video Compressor Gold also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (166 vs 22). Panostory Pro's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 33 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Panostory Pro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Video Compressor Gold asks for nothing beyond the download.

Video Compressor Gold holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Compressor Gold has 166 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Video Compressor Gold's written reviews are positive against 71% of Panostory Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Video Compressor Gold ships an update every 33 months, Panostory Pro fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
