# Baskin vs Menchie's

The clearest difference is rating: Baskin at 4.3 against Menchie's's 3.1. Baskin also leads on ratings volume (7.1K vs 111) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Menchie's's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (22% vs 7%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Baskin holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Baskin has 7.1K ratings behind it against 111, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of Baskin's written reviews are positive against 22% of Menchie's's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Baskin ships an update every 6 weeks, Menchie's every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
