# PMOB vs VoxSMS

The clearest difference is rating: VoxSMS at 5.0 against PMOB's 3.6. PMOB's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VoxSMS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PMOB has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PMOB ships an update every 11 months, VoxSMS every 10 months. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
