# Keep Time! vs Mastery Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mastery Timer at every 2 days against Keep Time!'s every 5 weeks. Keep Time!'s advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Keep Time! sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year and Mastery Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Keep Time! ships an update every 5 weeks, Mastery Timer every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
