# Coming Next vs Smart Tasks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Coming Next at none against Smart Tasks's 5. Coming Next also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%). Smart Tasks's advantage is ratings volume (4.5K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Tasks sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Coming Next asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smart Tasks holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Tasks has 4.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Coming Next's written reviews are positive against 79% of Smart Tasks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Coming Next ships an update every 3 months, Smart Tasks fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
