# Protege Mobile vs MX Tickets

The clearest difference is rating: MX Tickets at 5.0 against Protege Mobile's 2.7. MX Tickets also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Protege Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Protege Mobile sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MX Tickets asks for nothing beyond the download.

MX Tickets holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Protege Mobile has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Protege Mobile ships an update every 4 months, MX Tickets monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
