# Nomorobo vs SMSProxy

The clearest difference is rating: Nomorobo at 4.5 against SMSProxy's 3.7. Nomorobo also leads on ratings volume (22K vs 6) and chart position (#128 vs unranked). SMSProxy's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nomorobo sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and SMSProxy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nomorobo holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nomorobo has 22K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Nomorobo's written reviews are positive against 20% of SMSProxy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nomorobo ships an update every 3 weeks, SMSProxy monthly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
