# SchoolCafé vs CCS

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SchoolCafé at 111K against CCS's 3. SchoolCafé also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7). CCS's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SchoolCafé holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SchoolCafé has 111K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SchoolCafé ships an update every 3 months, CCS every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
