# Smart Stopwatch and Timer vs TimeSet

The clearest difference is update cadence: TimeSet at every 2 weeks against Smart Stopwatch and Timer's every 3 months. Smart Stopwatch and Timer's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Stopwatch and Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and TimeSet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smart Stopwatch and Timer ships an update every 3 months, TimeSet every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
