# ChibiStudio vs Anime Filter

ChibiStudio and Anime Filter both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 77% of ChibiStudio's written reviews are positive against 29% of Anime Filter's. ChibiStudio also leads on ratings volume (23K vs 1.6K). Anime Filter's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChibiStudio sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Anime Filter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for ChibiStudio against 4.6 for Anime Filter. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChibiStudio has 23K ratings behind it against 1.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of ChibiStudio's written reviews are positive against 29% of Anime Filter's.

ChibiStudio ships an update monthly, Anime Filter every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
