# Telmex vs Totalplay Control

The clearest difference is rating: Telmex at 4.6 against Totalplay Control's 2.5. Telmex also leads on ratings volume (6.1K vs 15) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Totalplay Control's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (19% vs 10%). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Telmex holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Telmex has 6.1K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Telmex's written reviews are positive against 19% of Totalplay Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Telmex ships an update monthly, Totalplay Control every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
