# FD vs ForumApp | FVD

The clearest difference is rating: FD at 4.6 against ForumApp | FVD's 1.0. FD also leads on ratings volume (255 vs 1). ForumApp | FVD's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FD holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FD has 255 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of FD's written reviews are positive against 50% of ForumApp | FVD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FD ships an update fortnightly, ForumApp | FVD every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
