# Sweetfin vs Pocket.Somm

Sweetfin and Pocket.Somm both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Pocket.Somm's written reviews are positive against 41% of Sweetfin's. Pocket.Somm also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Sweetfin's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pocket.Somm holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sweetfin has 3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Sweetfin's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pocket.Somm's.

Sweetfin ships an update fortnightly, Pocket.Somm every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
