# Sweetfin vs BBQ AI

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sweetfin at none against BBQ AI's 3. Sweetfin also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). BBQ AI's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BBQ AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Sweetfin asks for nothing beyond the download.

BBQ AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sweetfin has 3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sweetfin ships an update fortnightly, BBQ AI every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
