# LazyMonkey vs Weekly Planner

LazyMonkey and Weekly Planner both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of LazyMonkey's written reviews are positive against 70% of Weekly Planner's. LazyMonkey also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). Weekly Planner's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 1.1K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LazyMonkey sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and Weekly Planner sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for LazyMonkey against 4.7 for Weekly Planner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weekly Planner has 15K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of LazyMonkey's written reviews are positive against 70% of Weekly Planner's.

LazyMonkey ships an update every 3 weeks, Weekly Planner every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
