# CITICS Forum vs BCA Research

The clearest difference is ratings volume: BCA Research at 161 against CITICS Forum's 3. CITICS Forum's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CITICS Forum holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BCA Research has 161 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CITICS Forum ships an update fortnightly, BCA Research every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
