# Quran Progress vs JomTajwid

The clearest difference is monetization model: JomTajwid at free with in-app purchases against Quran Progress's subscription. Quran Progress's advantage is ratings volume (429 vs 3) and review sentiment (95% vs 86%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quran Progress sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and JomTajwid sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JomTajwid holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quran Progress has 429 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Quran Progress's written reviews are positive against 86% of JomTajwid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
