# Rescue Network vs OCTA

The clearest difference is rating: Rescue Network at 2.4 against OCTA's 1.0. Rescue Network also leads on ratings volume (93 vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rescue Network holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rescue Network has 93 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rescue Network ships an update every 5 weeks, OCTA every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
