# Alarm Relay vs Alula Security

The clearest difference is rating: Alula Security at 4.8 against Alarm Relay's 3.7. Alula Security also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (28K vs 13). Alarm Relay's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 43%) and iOS requirement (6.1 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alula Security holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alula Security has 28K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Alarm Relay's written reviews are positive against 43% of Alula Security's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarm Relay ships an update every 5 months, Alula Security every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
