# Weather Widget® vs FLAT Weather Clock for iPhone

The clearest difference is monetization model: FLAT Weather Clock for iPhone at free against Weather Widget®'s free with in-app purchases. Weather Widget®'s advantage is ratings volume (5.6K vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weather Widget® sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and FLAT Weather Clock for iPhone sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Weather Widget® against 4.6 for FLAT Weather Clock for iPhone. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weather Widget® has 5.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Weather Widget® ships an update every 2 months, FLAT Weather Clock for iPhone every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
