# Weather Widget® vs Flash Weather

The clearest difference is rating: Weather Widget® at 4.7 against Flash Weather's 4.4. Weather Widget® also leads on ratings volume (5.6K vs 105) and review sentiment (81% vs 65%). Flash Weather's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weather Widget® sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Flash Weather sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Weather Widget® holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weather Widget® has 5.6K ratings behind it against 105, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Weather Widget®'s written reviews are positive against 65% of Flash Weather's.

Weather Widget® ships an update every 2 months, Flash Weather fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
