# Weather Widget® vs Element

Weather Widget® and Element both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 81% of Weather Widget®'s written reviews are positive against 24% of Element's. Weather Widget® also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 1). Element's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weather Widget® sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Element sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.95 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Weather Widget® holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5.6K and 1.4K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Weather Widget®'s written reviews are positive against 24% of Element's.

Weather Widget® ships an update every 2 months, Element every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
