# TimeTracker vs HitVPN

The clearest difference is rating: HitVPN at 3.2 against TimeTracker's 2.5. HitVPN also leads on ratings volume (548 vs 2) and device support (4 vs 2). TimeTracker's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HitVPN holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HitVPN has 548 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of TimeTracker's written reviews are positive against 44% of HitVPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TimeTracker ships an update fortnightly, HitVPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
