# TimeTracker vs HitWave

TimeTracker and HitWave both sit at 2.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of TimeTracker's written reviews are positive against 20% of HitWave's. TimeTracker also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). HitWave's advantage is ratings volume (667 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 2.5 for TimeTracker against 2.5 for HitWave. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HitWave has 667 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
