# Codewords Pro vs Escapee

The clearest difference is update cadence: Escapee at every 5 days against Codewords Pro's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Codewords Pro sells 16 one-off in-app purchases and Escapee sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Codewords Pro ships an update every 3 months, Escapee every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
