# Emoly vs Mood Diary

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mood Diary at every 5 days against Emoly's every 3 weeks. Mood Diary also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Emoly sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Mood Diary sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Emoly ships an update every 3 weeks, Mood Diary every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
