# Exacto vs Gimbse Camera

The clearest difference is price: Exacto at $2.99 against Gimbse Camera's $12.99. Exacto also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (615 vs 6). Gimbse Camera's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 55%). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Exacto costs $2.99 and Gimbse Camera $12.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Exacto holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Exacto has 615 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Exacto's written reviews are positive against 73% of Gimbse Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Exacto ships an update every 2 months, Gimbse Camera every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
