# Wraith Chasers vs BeaconTV

The clearest difference is rating: Wraith Chasers at 5.0 against BeaconTV's 3.9. Wraith Chasers also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). BeaconTV's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BeaconTV sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Wraith Chasers asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wraith Chasers holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BeaconTV has 26 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Wraith Chasers's written reviews are positive against 50% of BeaconTV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wraith Chasers ships an update every 8 months, BeaconTV every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
