# Verizon One Talk vs RevText

The clearest difference is rating: RevText at 5.0 against Verizon One Talk's 4.4. RevText also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Verizon One Talk's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 6) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RevText holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Verizon One Talk has 18K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Verizon One Talk ships an update every 6 weeks, RevText every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
