# Pro vs GemTrail

The clearest difference is update cadence: GemTrail at every 6 weeks against Pro's every 5 months. Pro's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pro ships an update every 5 months, GemTrail every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
