# IPTV Streamer vs STV Play

The clearest difference is rating: IPTV Streamer at 4.5 against STV Play's 3.8. IPTV Streamer also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 13). STV Play's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 43%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Streamer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year and STV Play sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPTV Streamer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Streamer has 3.8K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of IPTV Streamer's written reviews are positive against 75% of STV Play's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IPTV Streamer ships an update every 4 weeks, STV Play every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
