# IPTV Streamer vs Hot Player

The clearest difference is rating: IPTV Streamer at 4.5 against Hot Player's 3.9. IPTV Streamer also leads on ratings volume (3.8K vs 13) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). Hot Player's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (5 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Streamer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year and Hot Player sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPTV Streamer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Streamer has 3.8K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of IPTV Streamer's written reviews are positive against 39% of Hot Player's.

IPTV Streamer ships an update every 4 weeks, Hot Player every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
