# Threesquare vs 50 Blitz

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 50 Blitz at none against Threesquare's 10. 50 Blitz also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.4). Threesquare's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Threesquare sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. 50 Blitz asks for nothing beyond the download.

Threesquare holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 173 and 119 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Threesquare's written reviews are positive against 89% of 50 Blitz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
