# BookPlayer vs Readprint

The clearest difference is update cadence: Readprint at every 2 days against BookPlayer's every 9 days. Readprint also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). BookPlayer's advantage is chart position (#60 vs unranked) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BookPlayer sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Readprint sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BookPlayer ships an update every 9 days, Readprint every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
