# Optimus Tracking vs SemperMatics

The clearest difference is rating: Optimus Tracking at 4.6 against SemperMatics's 4.0. Optimus Tracking also leads on ratings volume (4.8K vs 6) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). SemperMatics's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 59%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Optimus Tracking holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Optimus Tracking has 4.8K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Optimus Tracking's written reviews are positive against 100% of SemperMatics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Optimus Tracking ships an update every 5 weeks, SemperMatics every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
