# Drive MX vs TRUEFREE

The clearest difference is rating: Drive MX at 4.4 against TRUEFREE's 1.3. Drive MX also leads on ratings volume (285 vs 16) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). TRUEFREE's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Drive MX holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drive MX has 285 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of Drive MX's written reviews are positive against 10% of TRUEFREE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drive MX ships an update every 3 weeks, TRUEFREE every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
