# theVRkit vs Pro Camera

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: theVRkit at none against Pro Camera's 6. theVRkit also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (73% vs 59%). Pro Camera's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 9) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. theVRkit asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pro Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 4.3K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of theVRkit's written reviews are positive against 59% of Pro Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

theVRkit ships an update every 2 months, Pro Camera every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
