# Amigurumi Today vs Patternum

The clearest difference is rating: Amigurumi Today at 4.7 against Patternum's 3.4. Amigurumi Today also leads on ratings volume (655 vs 25) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Patternum's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amigurumi Today sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Patternum asks for nothing beyond the download.

Amigurumi Today holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amigurumi Today has 655 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Amigurumi Today's written reviews are positive against 55% of Patternum's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Amigurumi Today ships an update every 2 months, Patternum every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
