# DDPAI vs HFK DVR

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: HFK DVR at none against DDPAI's 4. HFK DVR also leads on review sentiment (33% vs 18%). DDPAI's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DDPAI sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. HFK DVR asks for nothing beyond the download.

DDPAI holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DDPAI has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of DDPAI's written reviews are positive against 33% of HFK DVR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DDPAI ships an update fortnightly, HFK DVR every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
