# DDPAI vs Metadrive2

The clearest difference is rating: DDPAI at 3.8 against Metadrive2's 1.0. DDPAI also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). Metadrive2's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DDPAI sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Metadrive2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

DDPAI holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DDPAI has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of DDPAI's written reviews are positive against 25% of Metadrive2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DDPAI ships an update fortnightly, Metadrive2 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
