# Choir Player vs SPARKY

The clearest difference is rating: SPARKY at 4.5 against Choir Player's 3.8. SPARKY also leads on ratings volume (368 vs 12) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Choir Player's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 54%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Choir Player sells 83 one-off in-app purchases and SPARKY sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SPARKY holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SPARKY has 368 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Choir Player's written reviews are positive against 54% of SPARKY's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Choir Player ships an update every 3 weeks, SPARKY weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
