# Light vs CRT

The clearest difference is ads: Light at none against CRT's shown. Light also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). CRT's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Light ships an update monthly, CRT daily. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
