# Magic Coloring vs Paintist Plus

The clearest difference is rating: Paintist Plus at 4.7 against Magic Coloring's 3.8. Paintist Plus also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). Magic Coloring's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 17%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Coloring sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Paintist Plus sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paintist Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 271 and 700 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Magic Coloring's written reviews are positive against 17% of Paintist Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Coloring ships an update every 3 weeks, Paintist Plus every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
