# Matix vs Count Race

The clearest difference is ads: Count Race at none against Matix's shown. Count Race also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). Matix's advantage is ratings volume (180 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Matix sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Count Race sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Matix against 5.0 for Count Race. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matix has 180 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Matix's written reviews are positive against 100% of Count Race's.

Matix ships an update fortnightly, Count Race weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
