# Versant vs AMCAT Test

Versant and AMCAT Test both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of AMCAT Test's written reviews are positive against 49% of Versant's. AMCAT Test also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months). Versant's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 68). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Versant against 4.8 for AMCAT Test. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Versant has 1K ratings behind it against 68, so its average is the more settled of the two.
