# LinkYPlayer vs VideoCopy

The clearest difference is rating: VideoCopy at 4.5 against LinkYPlayer's 3.0. VideoCopy also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). LinkYPlayer's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 28%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VideoCopy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 3 months. LinkYPlayer asks for nothing beyond the download.

VideoCopy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VideoCopy has 10K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of LinkYPlayer's written reviews are positive against 28% of VideoCopy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LinkYPlayer ships an update monthly, VideoCopy every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
